The Nxabega Okavango Tented Camp is located on the edge of the Okavango Delta in a 7000 hectare private concession area on the southwest border of the Moremi Game Reserve protected under a dense stand of ebony trees. Flight time from Maun 25 minutes to Nxabega Airstrip and from there about 10 minutes drive to the camp. The main house was built on a platform which owns the dining area, lounge and bar and a swimming pool with spacious sun deck, from which one can look at the breathtaking scenery of the Okavango Delta. Even a safari shop is available.
Rooms
The camp consists of nine tented chalets in East African style, which were built on raised wooden platforms. Each chalet has an en-suite bathroom with sink, flush toilet and shower. From the private verandas you can enjoy impressive views.
Culinary
In the "Dining Room", the small restaurant of the lodge, African dishes are served.
Activities
Nxabega offers year-round excellent opportunities for wildlife observation. It is a ideal camp for water and land activities. Trips in a mokoro (traditional canoe), motor boat excursions associated with walking safaris under the guidance of an experienced guide and game drives in safari vehicles can combined easily in the Nxabega.
Children
Children of all ages are welcome. For safety reasons no children under six years can participate in the Game drives and mokoro. Children aged six to eleven years old are invited , after the approval of the Lodge Manager, to take part at Game Drives and Mokoro activities. The special children's program of the & BEYOND "Planet Manager" offers fun and entertainment for younger guests. Further more a babysitting service is available.
