General Information
The lodge is located in the southeastern delta just outside the southern boundary of the Moremi Game Reserve. The Flight time from Maun takes about 20 minutes to Chitabe airstrip and from there an about 45 minutes drive to the camp. The thatched main building owns a lounge and restaurant area and is located under huge trees in the center of the camp. Close by are the shaded pool, and a wine cellar. The lodge also has a spacious terrace, a bar and a safari shop. Sandibe organically blends perfectly into its surroundings. The main house and cottages were integrated into the trees at one of the numerous, dense papyrus covered, small rivers. The winding paths, that connect the cottages and the main house together, follow the ancient paths of the elephants.
Rooms
The Sandibe Safari Lodge consists of eight exclusive, well-appointed cottages. All of them have a bathroom, a flush toilet, a shower and a private wooden deck. They are located on the banks of the Santantadibe river and are decorated with warm colors, modern
African art and tastefully furniture. The walls that are partially-covered with mosquito nets provide a view of the surroundings.
Culinary
The "Dining Room", the small restaurant of the lodge, serves African dishes.
Activities
Game drives are offered both day and night in the surrounding savannas as well as Canoe trips on the canals. Giraffes, antelopes, elephants, lions and many bird species have claimed this area to their home.
Children
Children of all ages are welcome. For safety reasons no children under six years can participate in the Game drives and mokoro. Children aged six to eleven years old are invited , after the approval of the Lodge Manager, to take part at Game Drives and Mokoro activities. The special children's program of the & BEYOND "Planet Manager" offers fun and entertainment for younger guests. Further more a babysitting service is available.
