General Information
The Vilalara Thalassa Resort is situated on a cliff above the sandy beach of "Praia das Gaivotas". The resort is located in a 12 acre big lush and landscaped garden. Completely renovated in 2009, the hotel will offer its guests the largest thalassotherapy center of the Algarve. The airport of Faro is around 45 kilometers away from the hotel.
Rooms & Suites
In the Vilalara Thalassa Resort guests can choose between 104 junior suites, seven suites and 13 apartments. All rooms have free wireless Internet access and private terraces or balconies overlooking the gardens, pool or ocean. Modern design with bright colors and elegant furnishings characterize the interior of the rooms. Bathroom with bathrobes and slippers, telephone, LCD cable television, minibar, air conditioning and safe are obvious.
Culinary
The restaurants of Vilalara Thalassa Resort are using fresh local ingredients on a high culinary level. The "B & G" serves creative Portuguese cuisine and light meals. In the seasonal opened "The Terrace Grill” pleasant live music and grilled specialties can be experienced as well as fresh fish and seafood. The "Tonic Lounge Bar" next to the pool mixes cocktails and cool drinks.
Body & Spirit
The approximately 2,600 sq big thalassotherapy and spa center was already voted among the top five spas worldwide by the Condé Nast Traveller magazine. Besides diet, anti-cellulite, anti-stress, anti-smoking and wellness programs, medical and osteopathic consultation is offered. In 20 Thalassotherapy and 22 treatment rooms, you will be completely pampered with soothing treatments and massages completely. Sauna, Turkish bath and pool are adding up the facilities.
Active
Stamina and endurance workout, like with a personal fitness trainer in the fully equipped fitness center. For an additional fee guests can use one of the four tennis courts. The next 18-hole golf course is located about 15 kilometers from the hotel.

The small guests between 3 and 12 years are being entertained in the children's club.
